TIEN – Next Gen ATP Champion!!

Last year Tien finished year by reaching Next Gen ATP Final. This year he improved a lot and won tournament where eight highest-ranked singles players who are aged 20 and under on the ATP Tour compete. Former champions of this prestige tournament include J. Sinner (2019) and C. Alcaraz (2021). J. Fonseca (ATP#24) who won this tournament last year and another star who qualified J. Mensik (ATP#19) opted not to participate. Tien for his win earned $502,250 - his biggest prize money haul in his relatively short carrier. Just last year he was still competing in challenger tournaments. He finished year 2025 as ATP#28. Good enough to be seeded in AUSTRALIAN OPEN 2026. In our TenELOs CURRENT rating he is already #19.
In November Blog when Tien won his first ATP Tournament Metz (250) I wrote: “New star on the raise according to our CHARTS” This time it’s only confirmation. In the history of Next GEN ATP Finals only 1 player before – A. De Minaur reached twice Final. Tien is the second player but unlike A. De Minaur he was able to win a Trophy. Our Charts are good indicators of young players progress in their ratings. CHART comparison for De Minaur & Tien at age 20 yrs 1 mo. are almost identical (see above). Based on that he should be able to reach ATP Top-10 in next few years. Unfortunately for Tien ratings for Alcaraz & Sinner were off the charts at similar age. There are also many other players including mentioned Fonseca and Mensik who are fast improving and have their eyes set on top ratings.
